The Defining Moment of MLSs

This initiative exists to articulate the enduring responsibilities of MLS stewardship and establish a common foundation for MLSs regardless of ownership, governance, geography, or technology. It is a statement of identity: what an MLS is, what it protects, and what it is responsible for. It is offered knowing that those values have not always been honored as fully as they should have been. The purpose of naming them clearly is not to claim a perfect history. It is to establish a standard the industry can be held to going forward.
